1998 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1998 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (91ST, 90WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium-deep red. Complex, inviting aromas of plum, leather, spice, game and Burgundian earth tones. Lush and sweet in the mouth, with plum, meat and leather flavors. Harmonious acids give shape to the wine without drying it. Finishes with sweet, rich tannins and very good length. This has filled in very nicely since I tasted it from barrel a year ago. A real standout of the vintage. (ST)" (05/2001)

2010 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (99RP, 97VN, 96ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from a steep, terraced plot of head-trained Syrah, the 2010 James Berry Vineyard Bone Rock (90% Syrah and 10% Roussanne) is easily the most structured, intense wine in the lineup. Sporting absolutely off-the-hook aromas of smoked meats, black fruits, liquid mineral, pepper, and cigar wrapper, it flows onto the palate with a thick, incredibly rich texture that somehow manages to stay light and fresh. A total behemoth, it needs time to fully flesh out, yet is up there with some of the most monumental young wines I’ve tasted. It should be forgotten for 3-4 years, and then consumed over the following two decades. (JD)" (07/2014)

Fresh and sweet, with deep but focused red fruit preserve flavors, fine-grained tannins and a compelling silky texture. Light in body but deep in flavor, with superb purity and finishing lift and cut. (ST)" (05/2008)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98RP, 97JS, 97RR, 97WS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Simply put, the 2009 James Berry Vineyard is one of the greatest young wines I have ever tasted from California, or anywhere for that matter. Bright, floral aromatics lead to expressive red fruit in this impossibly elegant, dazzling wine. A melange of rose petals, mint and licorice follows as the James Berry shows off its breathtaking clarity and finesse. Fine-grained, chalky tannins frame the exceptional finish. Frankly, I am surprised this is the first wine of the tasting. Where does one go from here? (AG)" (08/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Peter Michael "La Carrière" Sonoma County Chardonnay (97RP, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The spectacular Chardonnay La Carriere is becoming one of my favorite California Chardonnays as it tastes like a Corton-Charlemagne on steroids. The 2003 boasts aromas of crushed rock, quince, lemon butter, and orange marmalade, followed by a full-bodied, powerful yet extraordinarily elegant wine with an amazing finish. (RP)" (12/2005)

Bid on this 6-half-bottle lot of 1988 Rayne-Vigneau, Sauternes (375ml) (91RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As disappointing as the 1989, both in the context of the vintage and the increasing quality of the wines now emerging from Rayne-Vigneau, the 1988 is the best example I have tasted from this property. An intense, honeyed, pear, flower, and apricot fragrance is reminiscent of Muscat de Beaumes de Venise. In the mouth, there is exceptional richness, super focus because of fine acidity, a wonderful touch of toasty new oak, and an elegant, very positive, crisp finish. This is a beautifully made, authoritative tasting, and impeccably well-balanced Sauternes. (RP)" (12/1997)

One of the densest, most concentrated, decadent and thrilling whites I've tasted, it offers a sensational bouquet of crème caramel, caramelized peach, crushed rock and smoke. Unctuous and chewy on the palate, with awesome depth of fruit, it has thrilling purity, laser focus and a finish that just won't quit. Bid on this magnum lot of 2012 Aubert "Ritchie Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (1.5L) (95RP, 95VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Mark Aubert farms 39-year-old vines in the famous Ritchie Vineyard. At 1,200 cases, the 2012 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard is the largest production cuvee of these Chardonnays. It reveals a more evolved nose of smoky hazelnuts, honeysuckle, and tropical fruits, less minerality, and full-bodied unctuosity buttressed by crisp acids. It is a fatter, richer, complex, more California-styled Chardonnay that should drink well for 6-8 years. (RP)" (12/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Rivers-Marie "Panek Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93VN). Vinous: "Rivers-Marie's 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Panek Vineyard is drop-dead gorgeous. Plums, mocha, cloves, violets and lavender are some of the many notes that meld together in the glass. One of the more juicy, expressive wines of the year, the 2011 delivers the goods and then some. This is a fairly immediate Cabernet Sauvignon with tons of early appeal. Mocha, dark red berries, lavender reappear on the finish, adding lift and considerable perfume. (AG)" (11/2013)

Wine & Spirits: "Henriot’s domaine in Chablis includes three acres of vines on the steep, south-facing slopes of Vaudésir. The soils are predominantly chalky clay, mixed with Kimmeridgian limestone. The wine has the beautiful fresh scent of chamomile, a bright, pure expression of chardonnay that carries its chalky floral richness all the way through to a generous end. It’s powerful yet discreet, building layers of flavor intensity and seeming to only get fresher over the course of several days." (04/2014)

1989 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe
Bid on this bottle of 1989 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (95RP, 94JS, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at Robersons’ 1989 Bordeaux horizontal. The Cos d’Estournel 1989 has a dense, broody bouquet with typical Saint Estephe earthiness complemented by hints of seaweed and a touch of ox blood. The palate is medium-bodied with firm but rounded tannins, very good weight and concentration here, fine acidity and harmony with a nice build so that its finishes with a peacocks tails of mulberry, cedar and leather. This is maturing beautifully, lovely talcum finish. Drink now-2025. Tasted June 2010. (NM-Wine Journal)" (11/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac (95JS, 95RP, (92-94WE), 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An absolutely magnificent wine from this very popular estate, which sits well off the Route du Vin, just to the southwest of the town of Pauillac, its classic creme de cassis and floral notes are well-displayed. The wine possesses supple tannin, a full body, voluptuous character and a layered, impressively textured mouthfeel. Of the 2006 Kistler "Cuvée Elizabeth - Bodega Headlands" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2006 Pinot Noir Bodega Headlands Cuvee Elizabeth is undeniably a grand cru effort. Black raspberry, spring flower (violets), and kirsch aromas soar from the glass of this dark ruby/purple-tinged wine. Medium to full-bodied with zesty acidity, beautiful penetration, and a soaring mid-palate as well as length result in a prodigious example of Pinot Noir that should drink well for a decade or more. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon and 41% Merlot (89% from Sonoma and 11% from Napa), the 1999 is a much younger wine than the 1998 and still has some upside potential. A deep ruby/purple color is followed by notes of graphite, unsmoked high class cigar tobacco, black currants and flowers. 2001 Lokoya Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Lokoya Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the Reverie Vineyard, the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain (475 cases produced) displays a dense purple color (that has not changed since I tasted it eight years ago) along with wonderful notes of graphite, burning embers, charcoal and sweet cassis as well as licorice. Full-bodied with excellent fruit purity, it is the most evolved and fragrant of these three wines. Drink it now or cellar it for another 15-20 years. Winemaker Chris Carpenter, who has worked for the late Jess Jackson for many years, hit pay dirt at Lokoya in nearly every vintage. Certainly these 2001s have aged magnificently over the last decade. This wine needs 3-4 years of bottle age, and should last 25-30 years. (RP)" (12/2007)

Superripe, deep nose offers currant, plum, black cherry, truffle, smoke, meat and cedary spices. A wine of great sweetness and flavor intensity; remarkably suave in spite of its great solidity. Offers an almost liqueur-like ripeness and great density but sound acids keep the wine lively. Palate-staining aftertaste features substantial tongue-dusting but fine tannins. It is rich, juicy, and extremely elegant. Loads of candied red fruits, mostly raspberries and cherries, are found in this ample, structured wine. Bid on this bottle of 2004 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma/Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95WE, 94CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The two flagship wines of this brilliant estate, which straddles the Sonoma and Napa county lines at the top of Spring Mountain, include the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot). Sixty-eight percent of the fruit comes from Sonoma and 32% from Napa. It exhibits classic notes of creme de cassis, licorice, cedarwood, incense and a hint of toasty oak in the background. Full-bodied, opulent, profound deep, rich and full with velvety edges, the tannin can be detected, but it is wonderfully integrated in this mountain-styled Cabernet. It continues Pride’s impressive track record with these special cuvees. The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve can be drunk young or cellared for two decades or more. 1994 Hartwell Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1994 Hartwell Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 reveals that vintage's sweeter fruit, and harmonious personality. It has a dark ruby/purple color, followed by plenty of blackberry and blackcurrant-like fruit in the nose, complemented by some subtle toasty oak. The wine displays a richer, riper personality than the 1993, medium to full body, more layers of fruit, and finer integration of wood, tannin, and acidity. It is an impressively-endowed, outstanding, well-balanced Cabernet that admirably reflects its Stags Leap origin. Hartwell's Cabernet Sauvignon is produced in very limited quantities (175 cases in 1993, 225 cases in 1994, and nothing in 1995 because the vineyard was replanted due to the phylloxera epidemic). This estate's Cabernets have become somewhat of a cult wine, largely because the vineyard is planted with the same clones of Cabernet that are on the Grace Family Vineyard. Moreover, the wine

Sweet raspberries, mint and wild flowers linger on a perfumed, fragrant finish that turns increasingly savory and complex over time. This is a fabulous showing for the year. Larry Fairchild purchased his Sigaro vineyard in 1999. There are two plantings; the original 1 acre parcel, and a second parcel measuring 1.25 hectares. (AG)" (11/2013)

Wine Enthusiast: "A big, rich wine with huge amounts of fruit oozing out of the glass. Great concentration and intensity, with licorice flavors from the Mourvèdre, finishing with chewy tannins. A great year for this wine, which should age well for 15 to 20 years. " (12/2001)

2006 Broadley "Claudia's Choice" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2006 Broadley "Claudia's Choice" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir (90BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here the nose is perhaps just a touch riper than that of the Lorraine but otherwise quite similar that leads to rich, full and generous medium weight plus flavors that also possess good mid-palate fat and concentration as well as a bit more finishing depth though not quite the same degree of refinement. At present, this is a qualitative choice though the respective characters of the two wines are distinctly different." (10/2008)

2014 Morlet "La Proportion Dorée" Sonoma County White Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2014 Morlet "La Proportion Dorée" Sonoma County White Blend (1.5L) (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A perfect wine is the 2014 La Proportion Dorée, a blend of 65% Semillon, 24% Sauvignon Blanc and 1% Muscadelle. This 650-case cuvée is from 29-year-old, dry farmed vines and was barrel-fermented. The wine is absolutely out of this world. With a light greenish gold color and a killer nose of lanolin, caramelized citrus, honeysuckle, orange marmalade and candle wax, the wine displays great acidity, a magnificent, massive, full-bodied mouthfeel, and seems to come across like a Sonoma County version of a dry Haut Brion blanc. This is singular wine - profound, compelling, whatever! It should drink well for at least 10 years, if you can resist its early charms. (RP)" (12/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 La Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des 60 Ouvrées" (90BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A slightly riper blackberry and violet nose nuanced by an enticing sweetness dissolves into round, rich and very generous flavors that coat the mouth and here the character of the tannins is completely different as they're silky, textured and refined without being soft. This does display a subtle trace of backend warmth but this is a really pretty effort and one which should reward up to a decade in the cellar." (04/2006)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Moderate wood toast and a subtle leesy character on the nose leads to round, rich and sweet, sappy old vine flavors that display plenty of vanilla and oak spice. This carries its alcohol extremely well as there is no undue warmth though there is plenty of wood influence." (10/2005)

Rhone Report: "Close to my 12th bottle of the 2003 Domaine du Pégaü Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée and this was one of the more tight and compact bottles. The aromas are dense and pure with stunning cassis and dark fruit intermixed with licorice, meat and leather notes. 1989 Diamond Creek "Volcanic Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1989 Diamond Creek "Volcanic Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Al and Boots Brounstein founded Diamond Creek Vineyards in 1968. The three vineyards Brounstein planted have produced some of the most long-lived, elegant wines from the state of California, wines that make the case "that Diamond Creek is the finest producer of Cabernet Sauvignon in America," according to wine writer Pierre DuMont. This bottling comes from the eight-acre Volcanic Hill vineyard, which has ashy volcanic soils deposited by the eruption of Mt. Konocti eight million years ago. The wines from this site are Diamond Creek's longest lived, "loaded with intense ripe berry fruit, cassis, violets and a smoky richness," according to the winery.

1993 Allegrini Amarone della Valpolicella Classico (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1993 Allegrini Amarone della Valpolicella Classico (1.5L) (92VN). Vinous: "The 1993 Amarone is simply fabulous. The 1993 is the first wine in this tasting that is fully mature. Dark cherries, spices, menthol and licorice are just some of the aromas and flavors that emerge from this gorgeous, complex Amarone. The wine still maintains considerable body and richness, but the flavors are in the full tertiary stage, and there is no additional upside to be gained through additional cellaring. The 1993 is the last vintage to have been produced along traditional lines. Maceration on the skins lasted 45 days and the wine was subsequently aged for 36 months, predominantly in large, 80-hectoliter casks. (AG)" (04/2010)
